Apple Is Developing a Brain-Computer Interface

Apple is partnering with brain-computer interface (BCI) company Synchron to develop technology that helps people with physical disabilities control devices using their thoughts. The implantable device reads brain signals through electrodes, allowing users to select icons on iPhones, iPads, or Apple Vision Pro without physical movement or voice commands.
The device, Stentrode, is being tested with people like Mark Jackson, a Pittsburgh resident with ALS. Implanted in a vein above the motor cortex, Stentrode translates brain waves into commands to interact with screens. This partnership marks a major step in creating new communication and device control options for those with physical challenges.

According to GB News, Hackney Gelato’s CEO Tom Lister was initially surprised by the idea. “We’re no strangers to pushing flavor boundaries, but gravy? This is a first for us,” he said. After some convincing, their chefs took on the challenge, creating a unique dessert that KFC fans are now eager to try.

Valve Denies Massive Steam Hack Claims

Reports of a massive Steam hack affecting nearly 90 million accounts have spread, claiming leaked data included phone numbers, SMS logs, and two-factor authentication texts. The controversy began with a May 10 LinkedIn post from ‘Underdark AI,’ who said a hacker was trying to sell this data on a dark web forum for $5,000.
However, Valve has denied these claims. In a May 14 statement, the company confirmed there was no breach of Steam’s systems. The leaked data was older text messages with one-time codes valid for only 15 minutes, and the phone numbers they were sent to. Valve’s cybersecurity team is still investigating but says the impact is minimal.
