MrBeast’s latest competition show, Beast Games, has sparked heated debate among viewers and critics alike. Released in December on Amazon Prime Video, the show features 1,000 contestants competing for a $5 million prize. Along the way, players face grueling challenges, with some offering high-stakes bribes to intensify the drama.
While Beast Games quickly soared to the top of Prime Video charts in 82 countries within its first 26 hours, the reception from critics has been far less favorable. The show currently holds a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics decrying its focus on dramatics and exploitation.
One reviewer called it a “pathetic, sweaty, dystopian trainwreck,” while others criticized its portrayal of intense emotional stress, suggesting it sets a poor example for younger audiences.
Despite the backlash, some fans have defended the show’s premise, highlighting its entertainment value and dismissing critiques as overly harsh. As of now, MrBeast has not addressed the reviews but continues to celebrate its global success.
