YouTube Rolls Out New Ads Amid User Frustration
YouTube has introduced new ad formats, including exclusive campaigns for Shorts and in-stream horizontal ads, as part of its strategy to monetize short-form content. The updates aim to offer brands more control and reach the growing Shorts audience with targeted ads.
However, the new formats have sparked complaints from users about intrusive ads, such as pop-ups and banners disrupting their viewing experience. Some Premium subscribers have also voiced frustration, claiming they still encounter ads despite paying for an ad-free experience, adding to the platform's growing ad-related tensions.

Pokimane Recalls Strange League of Legends Reality Show Meeting
Pokimane recently shared a surreal story on Ludwigâs podcast about almost starring in a League of Legends-themed reality TV show. The show would have followed five women gamers as they were coached to improve their skills, and Pokimane was flown to Los Angeles for a meeting with the director.
However, the meeting quickly turned awkward, with Pokimane describing it as feeling more like a strange date with an older man than a professional discussion. After the initial meeting, communication with the production team grew sparse, and the project ultimately fizzled out without any further developments.

Haliey Welch Refuses to Thank Tim & Dee TV Despite Career Boost
Haliey Welch, a rising star who gained fame after an interview with YouTubers Tim & Dee TV, has explained why she won't thank them for her success. In an interview on The Bobby Bones Show, Welch acknowledged their role in launching her career but revealed that after her fame grew, she asked them to stop posting about her. When they blocked her on social media, she decided not to offer any gratitude.
While Welch admitted that she owes much of her success to their initial spotlight, her refusal to thank them has sparked backlash, with some critics labeling her as "ungrateful." Despite rumors of a lawsuit, Welch quickly denied the claims, dismissing them as "fake news."
