Judges scored the bout 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73 in Paul’s favor, bringing his record to 11-1. The fight marked another high-profile event in Paul’s transition from YouTuber to professional boxer.

Shortly after the fight, Artur Beterbiev, the reigning undisputed Light Heavyweight champion, challenged Paul to a title bout. The challenge came via Instagram, where Beterbiev, who holds the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, addressed Paul directly. “What can you do in the ring against the current undisputed champion? Just know that I’m always open to any suggestions,” he posted on his Story.
