Kick’s Global Growth Strategy Pays Off
Kick surged in 2024, boasting a 142% jump in viewership with over 2 billion hours watched. By spotlighting Latin American and Middle Eastern talent alongside established stars like xQc and Adin Ross, the platform expanded its appeal. Non-English creators, such as Saudi Arabia’s drb7h and Colombia’s Westcol, eclipsed top streamers like xQc in engagement. Westcol led as the most-watched creator, attracting 62 million views.
StreamsCharts revealed Kick's average concurrent viewers grew by 149%, hitting 258,000, while active channels climbed 52.5%. The strategy's success solidifies Kick’s position in emerging markets, countering moves by returning Twitch creators. With a global focus and increasing traction beyond North America, Kick is poised for further growth in 2025.

MrBeast Eyes Future in Politics
YouTube megastar MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, has reaffirmed his desire to run for U.S. President—eventually. Speaking on Theo Von’s podcast, the 26-year-old shared plans to pursue politics later in life, following a successful business career. While joking about lowering the age limit in a past tweet, Donaldson confirmed his political aspirations are genuine.
MrBeast envisions dedicating a decade to working through local and state roles before aiming for the presidency in his 50s or 60s. Known for his philanthropy and global impact, fans have embraced the idea, citing his track record of meaningful initiatives as evidence he could bring significant change to politics.

Jake Paul Responds to Gervonta Davis' Challenge
Jake Paul has reignited the boxing debate after firing back at lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, who called him out at a press conference. Davis had expressed interest in a matchup, prompting Paul’s dismissive response on X, mocking Davis' "budget" event and suggesting he wasn’t worth Paul's time—yet.
The exchange sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some intrigued by the fight and others questioning its feasibility. The significant size gap between the two fighters raised concerns, and many debated their differing motivations—Davis for respect and Paul for the spotlight—leaving fans divided on whether the fight could deliver.

YouTube TV Raises Prices Yet Again
Starting January 13, 2025, YouTube TV's Base Plan will jump to $82.99 per month, a $10 hike blamed on rising content costs. Subscribers, informed via email, will still access over 100 channels, unlimited DVR storage, and multi-account streaming, though the increase adds $120 annually to their bills.
Since its $35 launch price in 2017, YouTube TV has more than doubled its fees, frustrating many users. While die-hard fans value the service for its sports coverage, others are reconsidering as the platform's costs edge closer to traditional cable bills.
