Nintendo Switch 2 Launches June 5

Kai Cenat’s Twitch Account Gets Hacked

On April 3, streamer Kai Cenat became the target of a hacker upset over the removal of their Discord server. The hacker left a message on Kai’s profile, saying, “Got my discord suspended Mr. Cenat, this is what you get,” and proceeded to overhaul his channel.

The hacker changed Kai’s profile photo and header to their own branding, replacing his usual image with one that read "SAVA." The new header included links to the hacker’s pages, a new Discord server, and even Kai’s phone number. Additionally, all videos, clips, and social media links from Kai’s previous streams were either removed or taken down following the incident.

OnlyFans Founder Makes Bid to Buy TikTok

Tim Stokely, founder of OnlyFans, has made a last-minute proposal to buy TikTok’s US operations from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. The bid, submitted by Zoop—a social media startup co-founded by Stokely and influencer marketing strategist RJ Phillips—along with cryptocurrency company The Hbar Foundation, aims to shift the power back to creators with better revenue sharing.

ByteDance is racing against the clock, as the US government’s national security law requires the company to sell TikTok’s US operations by April 5 or face a ban. Zoop’s proposal is framed as a "David vs. Goliath" moment, challenging traditional social media giants and pushing for a more creator-focused platform.

Luca Guadagnino Confirms His "American Psycho"

Luca Guadagnino will direct a new adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’s American Psycho for Lionsgate. Speaking at CinemaCon, the director revealed that the project will be a fresh take on the 1991 novel, not a remake of the 2000 film. Scott Z. Burns is confirmed to write the script.

While Variety had reported that Austin Butler was set to play Patrick Bateman, Guadagnino clarified that casting is still ongoing, with no leads confirmed. Author Bret Easton Ellis previously suggested the reports about Butler and other details might be “fake news,” likely to gauge audience reaction.
