United Airlines Plane Turns Around After Pilot Forgets Passport

A United Airlines flight from LA to Shanghai had to turn back midair after the pilot realized he forgot his passport. The plane, carrying 257 passengers, left LAX at 2 PM on March 22 but returned two hours later, landing in San Francisco. United arranged a new crew, and after a six-hour delay, the flight finally took off again at 9 PM.

Passengers were given meal vouchers and compensation for the inconvenience. One traveler, Yang Shuhan, told CNN she used her $30 in vouchers at a Japanese restaurant while waiting. United acknowledged the mishap and said they worked quickly to get customers to their destination that evening.

Napster Acquired by Infinite Reality for $207 Million

Napster, the once-revolutionary music platform, has been acquired by Infinite Reality for $207 million. Rather than compete with streaming giants, the company plans to turn Napster into a “social music platform” focused on fan engagement. The vision includes virtual concerts, social listening parties, and new ways for artists to connect with and monetize their audience.

Napster will also integrate with Infinite Reality’s other ventures, including the Drone Racing League and major esports tournaments. CEO Jon Vlassopulos will stay on and take a larger role, saying it’s time to rethink music streaming for the immersive era.

Stephen Curry and Michelle Obama are launching Plezi Hydration, a sports drink focused on health and wellness. Released through Obama’s company, Plezi Nutrition, it has no added sugar or artificial sweeteners, less sodium than competitors, and a full daily dose of vitamin C. For Curry, it’s another off-court venture as he nears the later years of his NBA career.
