Rumble CEO Confident It Can “Take on YouTube” After Breaking Viewership Record

Rumble surpasses YouTube and Twitch in viewership during Trump’s 2024 election stream, setting a new record and sparking talk of a platform rivalry.

Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski is confident that the platform is poised to rival YouTube after breaking a major viewership record on November 6. The surge in viewership was triggered by Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential victory stream, which saw Rumble surpass 1.79 million peak viewers. Notable broadcasters like Dan Bongino and Steven Crowder contributed to the spike, with Bongino reaching 515K viewers and Crowder hitting 460K.

This milestone not only outpaced Kick’s previous record of 1.75 million viewers but also placed Rumble ahead of major platforms like Twitch and YouTube on the app store. Rumble’s success is a testament to the platform’s growing influence in the streaming world, with Pavlovski praising the site’s technical achievements during such a high-profile broadcast.

Pavlovski confidently declared that Rumble has the capabilities to take on YouTube, noting the platform’s ability to handle massive viewership without any technical hiccups. He also pointed out that Rumble managed this feat using its own software and cloud infrastructure, setting it apart from competitors reliant on third-party technologies.

As Rumble continues to expand, speculations are rising about big-name streamers like Dr Disrespect potentially joining the platform, especially as YouTube faces criticism over its monetization policies. With Rumble’s growing success and its ability to support high-profile events, it’s clear that the competition in the streaming landscape is intensifying, and YouTube may have a serious challenger on its hands.
